About Hollister Construction Company
I’m Holli Dorr, President and Founder of Hollister Construction Company. I was born into the 'Carpenter' family and married Donald Dorr….so I suppose
you could say I belong in the industry.
In 1992, while on assignment to liquidate a construction business, I received a call from a man who needed to complete TI's in his building. I told the man
the firm he was looking for was going out of business and that I did not know anyone who could help him. He replied that he was not looking for the "firm"
but in fact wanted "me" for his project!
At the time, I was a single parent raising two teenage boys and starting a business was out of the question, even though I had a very successful career in
construction for the last fourteen years. When the man insisted that I honor his request, I agreed to call him back by the end of the day. Within a few hours,
I was able to purchase a shell corporation and arrange to replace the qualifier of the license. By the end of the day, we were ready to change the
corporate name to Hollister Construction Company.
Before the first job was finished, another was ready to go, and that remains true today.
Over the years, I have been very fortunate to work with talented employees, subcontractors and architects who share a common goal – that is a commitment to focus
on "service". Their dedication to Hollister has enabled the company to cultivate and maintain long-term relationships with loyal customers and our reputation for
excellence in service.
