SBA NAMES HOLLI DORR SMALL BUSINESS PERSON FINALIST OF THE YEAR 2005

SANTA ANA, CA - Holli Dorr, President of Hollister Construction Company in Anaheim, CA has been named Small Business Person Finalist of the Year 2005 Award by the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) Santa Ana District Office. SBA District Director Sandy Sutton announced her selection saying, "Holli Dorr's ability to establish and sustain her business in a male dominated industry is remarkable. We salute her accomplishments."

Hollister Construction Company is a woman-owned general contracting firm that provides construction and related services for tenant improvement projects to a variety of clients throughout California. Since 1992, Hollister Construction has established a reputation for excellence with a diverse portfolio of successfully completed projects and satisfied customers.

Prior to Hollister Construction Company, Ms. Dorr worked her way up the corporate ladder from bookkeeper in 1978 for a landscape and engineering firm to that of a CFO in a mid size general contracting firm in 1992. Soon after she joined this firm she discovered the company was insolvent and spent the next year liquidating the assets to keep the firm out of bankruptcy. Ms. Dorr purchased the shell corporation, which included a contractor's license, changed the name to Hollister Construction Company and was on her way to becoming a successful entrepreneur. Revenues for 2005 are expected to exceed $10 million.

In 1996 Ms. Dorr obtained a SBA guaranteed loan that helped her expand her company and eventually double its revenues. The company survived through several industry and economic cycles over the last fourteen years and recently obtained another SBA guaranteed loan in order to further expand the firm's geographic and service area.

Ms. Dorr will be honored locally at the SBA's Small Business Awards Luncheon on May 12, 2005, at the National Orange Show, in San Bernardino, CA as part of a nationwide salute to small business.
